A family farm in the tranquil wine-growing landscapes of Bucelas.
"My childhood passion for the family farm we have in Bucelas and the strong relationship I had with my grandfather Sérgio Geraldes Barba are at the origin of this project. In a landscape where vineyards predominated, the wine business was very important to the family and filled all the time we spent on the farm. From walking in the vineyards to helping with the harvest, and from conversations at the table, my taste for quality wine grew. I inherited my grandfather's relationship with wine and his love of making it well. So, betting on a niche production, focused on expressing the region and the family's history, Murgas was born, named after the estate where we produce it."

Set in a beautiful rural setting in Bucelas - Lisbon, with vineyards all around and surrounded by the silence of the countryside, Quinta das Murgas is committed to wine tourism in a very familiar and welcoming style, offering an authentic and unique experience.
Wine tastings
Our passion for wine and the pleasures of a life connected to the land and nature led us to create this Quinta das Murgas Wine Tourism program, which offers a range of experiences that allow visitors to learn a little more about our work while enjoying a unique wine experience.

A walk through a wine-growing landscape designed for anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful moment, flooded by the symphony and mastery of nature.

Guided tour of the vineyards, the farm and its various animals in an all-terrain vehicle, followed by a wine tasting.

Guided tour on a pleasant walking tour of the estate with a visit to the vineyards and farm animals, followed by a wine tasting.

This experience consists of a picnic consisting of typical regional products in one of the beautiful corners to be discovered on the estate, where you can enjoy a tasty picnic basket in the quiet of the vineyards and the music that nature has to offer.

"It's a privilege to make wines in one of the oldest wine regions in the world. It's where I started and where I developed my passion for great white wines. Murgas represents history, terroir and quality. It is with respect and humility that we cherish the vineyard every day. The wines are the fruit of this philosophy, letting their cradle speak louder."
Our wines
MURGAS - VINHA DO ARNEIRO
Murgas Touriga Franca is a red wine that combines the purity of the variety's fruit with slightly vegetal notes that give it great freshness. Deep and elegant, it manages to be a very long wine like the great wines from the Lisbon region.
MURGAS DOC BUCELAS
Murgas Bucelas white is a wine that expresses the strength of the Atlantic terroir in limestone soils. It combines the elegance of Arinto with the characteristic minerality of limestone soils. Serious, profound and long-lived, it combines the attributes of great wines.
MURGAS ROSÉ
Murgas Rosé is a wine that expresses the Touriga Franca grape variety in a very fresh way. Light pink in color, it has red fruits, wild berries and minerality. In the tasting, it shows off the limestone soil where it grew, with a mineral profile and lots of freshness. It's a smooth and very elegant wine.
